Noise Pollution~by Neil Perry

Noise Pollution

Oh what a dreadful noise it is
Its doing in my head,
I prefer some peace and solitude
While laying in my bed,
Than listening to boring sound
Enough to wake the dead,
Which I relate too at this time
With eyelids just like lead;

Oh give me peace and solitude –
Just let me get away
To anywhere, with little sound,
For that, oh god, I pray,
A place perhaps where none abide,
It doesn’t bother me,
As long as you are at my side
In perfect harmony;

Oh let me go, where peace is found,
A place of perfect rest,
It doesn’t matter if I’m poor –
For being poor is blest,
A place perhaps, like Crusoe had
Would put me to the test,
For that’s okay, it floats my boat
And fits to my request.
