If We Visit Paradise~by Ahmad Abd Alrahim

If We Visit Paradise

I feel like I wanna write a poem
Though I don’t know what to write about
My Soul has never been a quiet home
Whether it’s sorrow, pain, or doubt

Hope and Despair fight all the time
Sometimes One loses, Sometimes One wins
At times I fall hard, At times I rise with wings
Still I’m always here to rhyme

Let me smile for a day or two
Let me sing and laugh too
Let my sorrow go away
If we visit paradise, let me stay

I feel like I wanna be free
As a bird flying high in the sky
No worries to bother me
That I love to live and hate to die

Happiness and Sorrow fight all the time
And so One loses and One wins
The winner does control the rhyme
The loser contemplates the sins

Let us smile for a day or two
Let us sing and laugh too
Let our sorrow go away
If we visit paradise, Let Us Stay.
