Chitrangada -4
Since you left me Arjun ,
Under the cobweb of confusion,
I, Chitrangada didn’t shed a drop of tear,
Though I forgot to cheer,
My Father brought me as his heir{son},
I am his brave child and I dare to swear,
The day will come ,my tears will be yours,
You will realize how pinching words ached my nerves,
I am not shy or timid, but helpless in controlling certain fears,
I will make my son(Babruvan} so strong,
So brave ,so dashing that you will proudly recognize him as your heir.

Till then I will not sleep like the tired sheep,
I will not cry like the torrential rain,
I will not peep to my scars,
I will not erase the dark marks,
Rather I will burn with them every day ,
I will grow my child on thorn bed,
I will grow him as a hurricane ,whose image will numb strong brains,
If woman is beautiful creation of you Lord,
Ponder me with such powers ,to bring my son in bedding of rocks,
Till then empower me to smile in odds.
{The story of Chitrangada comes from the epic MAHABHARAT.She was the wife of Arjun ,the great Pandava warrier, was abused of treachery by her husband. She was the princess of Manipur.Arjun left her and went away .The lady of courage and great archery skill brought her son Babruvahan single handedly. Babruvahan later defeated Arjun in a war.
