POEM “SUMMER FIRE” by martin gedge
Night beneath the sky parade
in fields of golden fire
whistle through the summer wind
on wings of hearts desire
warm the souls of angel sweet
in skin to rest your eyes
look into this love affair
as petals take to skies
flutter at the sight of blush
a smile to melt the glow
the slight of touch and savory
for wishes that they know
a kiss to lips the parting way
as roses fill the moon
the grasping air and subtle clutch
as pictures of you bloom
and in the deep of closing tides
you rest in shadow sight
and sleep amongst the lion grass
to wake the morning light….
