YOU DIDN’T LOVE ME~by Jyotirmaya Thakur

YOU DIDN’T LOVE ME

Image may contain: 1 person, outdoor

You left me without a sound of reproach,
I sat in the park on Sunday alone,
Waiting for the sound of your steps approach,
You should have come instead of leaving me to moan.

You could have told me you didn’t love me anymore,
A seasonal affair that had gone suddenly sore,
You did not hold me like you did before,
But you never told me we will not meet anymore.

A date you had fixed for meeting long ago,
At least you could have come to my door,
Bid farewell with a gesture of courtesy bold,
You denied me the kindness of letting you go.

You disappeared from the scene without an apology,
My heart sinks in the street of our solidarity,
Promises we made for future was a ruse,
My infatuation for you is still not overdue.

Where did I go wrong in our love so true?
Love lost in the street of abnormal fuel,
You lit the flame of love in my eyes blue,
Your statement of denial and betrayal is due.
