Listening to the Bluebird~by Fred Tunks

Listening to the Bluebird

No automatic alt text available.

I used to wonder if I was being heard and then you came along
I used to ponder the power of a prayer and then you came along
I used to doubt what life was about and then you came along
I used to be lonely with no one to hold me and then you came along
I walked for miles in search of a smile and then you came along
I went unheard a voiceless bird and then you came along

I know everybody loves you and they wanna feel these things I feel
You’re bound to run across a thousand guys willing to make you some kind of a deal
They’re all going through a time in life were as they’re searching for a song and they might hope that it’s with you they might belong
But I hope you’ll not take notice of their ever changing lies
It’s me that truly loves you and I hope you recognize
That it is I who hears the Bluebird when she cries!
