POEM “BREATH TAKING YOU” by martin gedge
Pretty eyes and lullabyes
daffodils and butterflies
tender as the everlasting soul
steady with the style and grace
soft of skin and smiley face
watch just like a flower as she grows
sweet as pie and butter creams
milky silk and silly dreams
casting in the bright and sunny air
twinkle toes and off she goes
squeaky cheeks and petal rose
brushing through the feathers of her hair
in spoken words it’s hard to say
as moments past in every day
you’ll always be the fire and the spark
the special one in every sigh
in baby steps that tells me why
the center of my universal heart…
