” PHARAOHS GOLD”~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” PHARAOHS GOLD” by martin gedge

Image may contain: stripes

An old relic from ancient times
of leisure rich and grand
with tales of old a pharaohs gold
across the desert land
a written verse about a curse
to beggars, thieves and trolls
the dead will rise and cut the eyes
and take your head and toes
disease will reap into your veins
and eat away your skin
and leave into a cloud of dust
like shadows on the wind
the heated sun will bake the corpse
as vultures rape your soul
a cross to bare that sucks the air
into the devils hole
upon the track with beast of back
as storms of killers brew
to pierce the dark into your heart
like knives to slice right through
a treasure chest of coins and jewels
can plant an evil seed
the time to spend to dyers end
to fill your shallow greed
and without care if you should dare
to be a selfish man
you’ll feel the chill as pockets fill
your coffin made of sand…
