POEM ” PAGES ” by Martin Gedge
The subtle hints
the lasting glimpse
that fingerprints your heart
to break the light
from day to night
and rightly leave a mark
you make a vow
to someday how
to wow a yearning need
and find yourself
that all the weath
and health they don’t succeed
your brought to tears
for all the years
and fears you had in mind
had fallen through
that shoulders you
to do this everytime
you turn the page
with trying age
to cage the hurt inside
it comes to blow
as angers grow
and who knows where to hide
you can’t relate
but sit and wait
on fate of what to come
at times you choke
through all the smoke
your broke and come undone
but in the plan
so be it man
to understand this life
takes more then things
and wedding rings
to make your bride your wife….
