Daily missive for Friday the 13th of April.
Rain on me
Your fretful tears
Let them fall
I will catch them all
In a buttercup
They will be golden
A tincture to sprinkle
On the garden
Watch the flowers grow
A sea of rolling yellow heads
Anointed crowns
By royal command
They will be a carpet
To walk upon
Every step
Supported by the dawn
Of newborn suns
Gleaned from the rush
Of blood
That follows such a bold endeavour
As to wander
Without premeditation
Storm tossed
On a fevered wind
Fearless in the valley
As the river swells
It is mighty
In its expectation
From one tear shed
To come so far
As to be a turbulence
Of precipitation
Rain on me
Your fretful tears
Will release the
Child in your eyes
And set you free.
