I’ll Be Leaving You~by Rei Nikolai Magnaye

I’ll Be Leaving You

If flowers were meant to outshine and bloom
Then I’d rather go for leaves who won’t pretend so soon
To have impatience and try beyond their time
Is to oneself such an unforgivable crime

If leaves were meant to nurture each noon
Then I’d rather go for flowers who lay down night’s gloom
To have perseverance and die beyond their limit
Is to oneself such a waste, and yet I’d still forgive it

And still I believe in you
Though I’ll be leaving you
All the flowers and leaves
They’ll be deceiving you
And as you grieve in blue
Thinking what they see in you
You still have all the love
Just to see it through
