“SAM I AM”~by Martin Gedge

POEM “SAM I AM” by martin gedge

Image may contain: one or more people and text

Never walk forbidden trails
that shiver up your spine
for hiding in the darkest holes
the deepest well is mine
lost amongst the wooded maze
through crooked paths and brooks
I slip inside the dead of night
into your bedtime books
you feel the cold and bitter chill
like spiders on your skin
for pins and needles just a prick
is all that I need in
rest assured I can’t be heard
I’m small enough to hide
it’s hard to cope when I’m the rope
and body bags are tied
so if you fear to wonder here
I’m just a little scream
who likes the treats and smelly feets
on every halloween
a spoken curse who drives a hearse
your red crayola crayon
the devils loose in Doctor Suess
and I’m the Sam I am………
