“THE RAINMAKER”~by Martin Gedge

POEM “THE RAINMAKER” by martin gedge

Image may contain: cloud, sky, outdoor and water

Through the night the whistle blows
across the mountain side
step aboard the crazy train
and prepare yourself to ride
the engine roars the belly grins
to tilt the evil speed
as steam burns into the night
to let the vessel bleed
the heart is where the devil sits
the coal as pitch as black
the sparks to fly against the steel
to heat the spoken track
we are the dead a petty crew
to help you all on board
the baggage claim without a name
just like a psycho ward
there are no stops along the way
no sight to gaze your view
the master says we have no brakes
cause were just passing through
it eyes into the gaping void
as death will have a grip
it’s throttle down to fire town
so please enjoy your trip….
