Maya’s Veil~by Mary Gosling

Maya’s Veil

Image may contain: one or more people, people sitting and indoor

You know how dear you are to me,
ever since I could hold myself,
and how willingly I trust your hands,
to unveil, to rip, to mend,
the remaining pieces,
of old hurts left on my shelf.

“They’re not there, it’s just a veil..”
you tell me,
and I am so keen to believe,
that leaving behind the years,
I leap,
through the wants and grief.

And I’m not afraid of you,
(not of you..no.)
your voice,
come what may, and it will..
I just stand here in wonder,
there’s not long now…
some old veils left there, still.
