THE KILLER MACHINE~by Renáta Császár

THE KILLER MACHINE

a knock
a sudden stop in flight
kicked away tenderness
death in tails
black and white

little swallow
in my heart
are you well

step out
with pale legs
from the black
don’t stay
go back to your
snow white
palace
where
you can get stick to ice
and
frozen
you can look for a memory
of the red rose
and the blood of the
nightingale

a tale
that you’ve dropped in

and now
you are
the nightingale
and also
the rose

since the little
swallow
has
died
