FORGIVE ME~by Renáta Császár

FORGIVE ME

it’s a dense spring
crowded with leaves
heavy with rain
the green is brutal
the grey withdrawn

listening to the drops
too many things inside them
pounding
rattling

slapping my silence

to move or not to move
every single innocent movement
has its consequences
perhaps not anticipated

even
spontaneity
and empathy
can have its dangers

sometimes
even
listening to the raindrops
is rejected

so be more
careful

in this fragile world
of our souls
everything
counts
