” AS MORNING TURNS “~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” AS MORNING TURNS ” by martin gedge

Image may contain: ocean, sky, outdoor, nature and water

I sleep so silently still
while around me sounds
wrestle with the night
waiting to break an open breath
a dense fog clings to the panes
of my eye lids
as the whistle train passes
the California dew
warm beads of august rain
thread the shifting sand
calls of the roaming sea
toss waves against a house of light
while guiding lady ships with fearless eyes
curtains poke the ready sun
to smile morning glory
as the steam silhouettes dry
through the cracks of the trees
oh sister moon how she fades
pillows of Columbus
shadow the blue
sky flying with grace
over peaceful groves of orange
and the golden fields of grain
angel birds to spread their wings
over my Autumn
painting colors of my library forest
you can smell as fire nature spouts
smoke to dance and frolic in the breeze
I can hear soft whispers to stretch
my yawning blanket
bright to my eyes of radio play
and the brew of coffee beans
my senses now alive
and to my ears the sweet soft voice
of a smile to
invigorate my day
morning babe….
