A smile from your pretty face
can light my darkest day
with hands in clutch that certain touch
could melt my heart away
the slight adrift from your perfume
can put me in a trance
the flavor kick of your lipstick
can fling my heart to dance
to catch your tears from falling stars
in the clouds of powder blue
those precious eyes with rainbow skies
will shower down on you
the whisper soft upon your lips
with the comfort of these arms
a stem as close to petals rose
to thank my lucky charms
I brisk my fingers through your hair
and sing you off to sleep
and to ignite by morning light
a promise I will keep
one moment cherished through the dark
to have you safe and sound
for as you sleep a curtain peek
the dawn is breaking ground
to always give and without thought
whatever I can do
that fills the hole inside my soul
and keeps me loving you…
