Another waking moment
in this heart you call a home
as left me in the darkness
so afraid and all alone
all the shades are closing
and I’m fading with the light
I look up at the ceiling
and the sky is black as night
I am just another memory
of a time that we first spent
I didn’t get those feelings
or the meanings that you meant
the dealings of this heartache
has left me empty at the core
I am faced with the reality
that you don’t love me anymore
I tried to make you happy
I wanted you to believe
but every single morning
you would turn away and leave
I’m lost in the emotion
it’s like a roller coaster ride
the ups and downs and turnarounds
have broken down and died
but if you face the music
in the tears of sad goodbyes
you’ll see it in the pages
cause it’s written in these eyes…
