” FEAR ITSELF”~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” FEAR ITSELF” by martin gedge

Image may contain: one or more people and people standing

Lurking through the dead of night
while simple people sleep
I crawl among the shadows black
and through each crack I seep
I walk like figments on the walls
a reflection in your mirror
I play upon your darkest dreams
and enter in your fear
I’m nervous in your beads of sweat
that puddles to the floor
I leave you in the breathless air
and make you scream some more
I’m fuzz upon your T.V. screen
as hours seem to pass
the grin in every evil spin
that clowns your silly ass
but most of I’m fear itself
that simmers deep within
your under bed your closet shed
I know just where you’ve been
the living hell within your mind
your state of mental health
for no one knows your really dead
except your inner self….
