POEM ” I SOMETIMES MELT ” by martin gedge
I’m not immune, this open wound
for all the world to see
I cut , I break, I often take
whats truly bothers me
to heart, to soul for those I know
life doesn’t get me down
I am the one to gets things done
to turn my life around
I cope with hope and with each rope
I’m sometimes tied in knots
the things I’ve said inside my head
are out before it stops
I deal whats real and often peel
the skin that makes me whole
so you can find I’m genuine
in health and self control
and may I add when times are sad
these feelings that are felt
the tears I’ve cried are bonafide
when my emotions melt
I’m tried and true to offer you
my meaning of success
I’m not a suit for those to boot
nor will I take the test
but be it fair I’m one to share
to wear it on my sleeve
the purest thing that one can bring
is what you do believe…
