POEM “RISING PRICES”~by Martin Gedge

POEM “RISING PRICES” by martin gedge

Image may contain: 5 people, people smiling

Let it be told that I should hold this fondness for the dark
for I’m the guy with an evil eye who likes to pound your heart
at what expense this grave intense to suspense you with this cheer
that when you sleep they start to creep and reap the things you fear
I will not boast but simply toast to host your final doom
to shake this bed back from the dead to fill your bleeding room
I would suggest that if you test your rest will be revealed
into a box with chains and locks and a lid so tightly sealed
but by surprise if you should rise and recognize my face
it was me you fool you childish tool that put you in this place!
