beautiful corpse~by Prince Ibekwe

beautiful corpse

No automatic alt text available.

she was wrapped in costly linen of Egypt
perfumed with alabaster of kings
.
.
gold paraded the supple contours of her neckline
but she couldn’t touch it
.
.laid in immaculate quilt of the palace
pillow were made from the feathers of a dove
.
.
her eyes were closed to the queenly pleasures of the world
she couldn’t rock the earth with her high heel shoe anymore
.
.
for her legs were stiff and powerless
her lips and eyelashes were painted for the last time
.
.
those hair that gulped most her income
were shaved off with rusty scissors
.
burnt like nothing
.
.
the mortician washed her luscious skin
tossing it here and there
.
.
the emotions and ecstasies were gone
as the wind casted upon the sea
.
.
as flames watered down
her shine will never burn again
