Canopy of Love~by Inga Harris

Canopy of Love

Image may contain: tree, sky, plant, outdoor and nature

Come lay down with me
In the cool green grass
Let the leaves of the trees
Be our garden pass
To meadows of delight
A soft blanket of love
Just you and I
Against the song of the dove
Kisses of delight
Soon linger and pause
A gentle mist of rain
Clothes our bodies enthralled
You whisper in my ear
Sweet nothings
Words I long to hear
You hold me in your arms
And tell me there’s nothing to fear
For you are the safest place
My protector, my darling, my hero
And I am your woman
Your constant lover and soul mirror
