” MOTHER MARY ” ~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” MOTHER MARY ” by martin gedge

Image may contain: 1 person, closeup

Mother Mary why so scary
hath you got no shame
for what is able sits this table
in gods unholy fame
no wicked rest that shall ingest
for those of the unkind
to dress the plate and lie in wait
like slaughtered pigs to dine
thirst shall drink the poison ink
and dark to seep the pores
of every vein that bleeds to drain
onto the marble floors
and to the host this raising toast
when goblins ring the bells
the peoples church to pray and lurch
into the wishing wells
and garden chain will have the reign
to stain a shovel red
to dig the grave and to enslave
the nun that shares your bed…
