Silhouette Dancers~by Pasithea Chan

Silhouette Dancers

Image may contain: ocean, sky, outdoor, water and nature

Once upon a starry moon
a wave rose to pull a sun.
It stood on its foamy feet
and curled its sparkling toes.

Alarmed by the wave’s moves
the sun let its hair down in shadows.
Her shadows drifted on the wave’s
watery toes taunting with hello’s.

Together the wave and the sun rose
leaving the skies with silhouette bows.
Afraid to disappear into wavy blues
the sun dispersed its pigtails in orange hues.
But the wave was aware of that old ruse
so it rose with even redder hues.

Life is like the sun orange in hues
but the heart is like the wave redder in views.
Where life taunts with silhouettes of success,
the heart chases life despite its waves of duress.

Living is a moment of silhouette bows
cleared from woes, picked by foes
like a rose grown among thorns
to depose lives and doze minds.

We are all silhouette dancers
tangoing to the sun and waves
under a blue moon in a curlicue sky.
