TRAPPED~by Jyotirmaya Thakur

TRAPPED

Many men are born good in vain,
They change to hate and cause pain,
If only we could remove the stain,
Of sorrows they faced in their lane.

Brain washed at vulnerable stage,
Either too naive or young in age ,
Their life trapped in poverty cage,
Survival is at risk of minimum wage.

The world is seized by an insane rage,
All want to stand on the same page ,
Racing with time for unknown success,
Fooling themselves as ultimate progress.

Walking alone through lonely paths,
Melancholic mood in crowded swathes,
Moving upward everyday is an uphill task ,
Dieing within wearing different masks.

Crying hearts covered by fake smiles,
Disillusioned humanity buried in files ,
Broken piece by piece in molten moulds,
Slaves of circumstances always cold.

Swimming through emotions confused,
Shores never in sight, feeling refused.
Talents at mercy and compromised,
Whole life for unseen future victimised.
