UP FOR GRABS~by Jotfi Amine

UP FOR GRABS

Image may contain: 1 person, eyeglasses

She basks in glamour, like the rose
Of a fallow field and a flowery green;
And all that’s best of red and rose
Meets in her figure and her mien:
Thus adding to that wondrous pose
Which angels in fairy fables feign.
One streak the less, one tinge the more
Can half depress the nameless glow
Which permeates her likable core,
Or gently highlights the winsome flow;
Of enchanting charms which adore
How in line to time they still grow.
And in that chest, and in that bosom,
So sweet, so rich, and so striven,
The pleasures that softly blossom,
But tell of bloom by verve driven.
A peach at heart, ripe and lissom,
A rose by her own thorns riven!
