POEM ” MISTLETOE ” by martin gedge
For at first you see from across the room
when beauty walks and flowers bloom
when bells goes ringing by the moon
and your heart just skips a beat
with a smile that shines like northern lights
against the snow all glistening white
when your dancing slow and you hold her tight
and it feels so warm and sweet
it’s like nothing you ever felt before
but something real and something more
and you just can’t tell what lies in store
when you find that perfect thing
for you pinch yourself to think… why me?
when I make you laugh when your drinking tea
and in her sparkling eyes you can truly see
all the love that Christmas brings
and underneath the skies that glow
when silent night meets mistletoe
in present dress and ribbon bow
there shines the brightest star
with soul and grace and wondrous sight
when candles burn she is the light
that makes this all to me seem right
I’m the luckiest guy by far….
