“Sayings to live by”~by Timothy Payton

“Sayings to live by”

The righteous man walks in his integrity, his children are blessed after him. -proverbs 20:7-

The backslider in heart will be filled with his own ways, but a good man will be satisfied from above. -proverbs 14:14-

There are seldom, if ever, any hopeless situations, but there are many people who lose hope in the face of some situations.

You cannot solve a problem until you acknowledge that you have one and accept responsibility for solving it.

It is better to have never known me, then to know me and turn you’re back from serving me said the Lord.

Nothing changes, if nothing changes.

Life is like a train, the engine is the facts, the coal car is faith and Caboose is feeling.

If faith follows facts, then feelings will come along as well. But if you put your feelings first, then the train won’t go right.

You need to sacrifice to gain.

Discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them and the day will come when you will be able to do the things you want to do when you want to do them!!!

What you get by reaching your destination is not nearly as important as what you will become by reaching your destination.

Success is not a destination, it’s a journey.

The real opportunity for success lies within the person and not in the job.

When you choose to be pleasant and positive and the way you treat others, you have also chosen, in most cases, how you are going to be treated by others.

You must manage yourself before you can lead someone else.

The heart of the wise teach with his mouth and adds learning to his lips – proverbs 16:28

I think you for your patience Lord, because I often strayed, but, O the joy that came my way, when I thy word obeyed.
