” The Red Sparrow “~by Lia Angelica Tohmè

” The Red Sparrow “

Image may contain: bird

In the solemn hush of Winter’s snowfall,
perched on bare branches silvered with frost,
is a solitary and self-possessed red sparrow;
docile and languid and of unexpected beauty…

It’s song plaintive and melancholy,
bemoaning the loss of reminiscence,
the inexpressible serenity of Winter;
tenderly afoot in moments of solitude…

The notes resound out crystalline,
reverberating on the far snowy peaks;
enveloping the branches all around,
and silencing all trace of the world… ❤️
