Warrior Eternal~by Mark Hay

Warrior Eternal
(First Nations)

M.A.D.Hay

2008-08-30

He ran moccasin-footed feet flattening barely the grass
On a mission maybe a calling this one could erase his past
The Ghostly whispered wind moaning into his ears
He stout-hearted warrior chased by half-remembered fears

Howling the wolves hunt & sing to his risen moon above
To his ears welcoming music tells of freedom & of love
His chest within rhythm beats as each step forward takes
Beneath fleet feet bend fallen branches but never brakes

Through trees never slows wading rivers cold he shivers
Checks knife at side bow in hand arrows on back in quiver
Warning his message undelivered of soldiers in battle blue
His spirit always running and sometimes glimpsed it’s true

He runs moccasin-footed feet flattening barely the grass
On a forever mission failed he’s trapped within his past
The Ghostly whispered wind moaning into his ears
Not death but bitter failures to his people his recurring fear

ITS WORDS THEY QUIETLY CONFUSE

M.A.D. Hay

2009

Its words they quietly confuse
Assaulted & verbally abuse
Me
U see
I sometimes don’t understand
Their master plan
&
Outta hand
They scream and shout
Trying to brake out

&

Trying to brake out
They scream and shout
Outta hand
&
Their master plan
I sometimes don’t understand
U see
Me
Assaulted & verbally abuse
Its words they quietly confuse

MY ANGEL OF DESTRUCTION

M.A.D. Hay

2018

Don’t break me
Just set me free
I never knew love had chains
Tears blood & stains

From your pedestal
You didn’t just fall
You threw me away
& carried on your day

My angel of destruction
My blonde seduction
I went against my type
You cured me of that hype

Maybe I should thank you
Before you I never knew
How cold the heart could be
You threw me away & now I am free
