” VACANCY “~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” VACANCY ” by martin gedge

Image may contain: sky, tree, plant and outdoor

There is something in the window and it’s always looking down
it’s a masonry master from the sky to the ground
a cinder block of interlock like jenga on a chain
a roller coaster rubik’s cube that harbors the insane
in the belly of the beast with the hunger to explode
it is bursting at the seams with a will to overload
it may be a little crooked but with the art and evil eye
it’s a vacancy of leisure as the bodies multiply
it’s not a bouncy castle but a circus of a tent
you can get a room for cheap but you’ll never see the rent
it will get inside your brain and will twist your little mind
it’s mansion full of mayhem with a monster for a spine
so if you get the notion or the motion to be sick
a sense of rheumatism while your spinning in thick
you paid for the admission so throw caution to the wind
there’s no turning back to heaven once the devil lets you in….
