Daily missive for Thursday the 20th of December.~by Peter Forster

Daily missive for Thursday the 20th of December.

Move me
With your story
As the wind
Rifles through byways
Collecting the dust of memories
The whisper of
Broken hearts and fairytales
Dripping with sentimentality
Rites of passage
Bloodied and soaked
Read to me
Of love potions
Demons and concubines
Lace the story
With energy
The poetry of love
Words spat out
Through clenched teeth
Whistled along
Wide avenues
Lined with shadows
Bursting into life
Beneath a street lamp
Dancing with fireflies
Moths drawn to the flame
Murdered by crows
Buried in separate boxes
Beneath a ring of roses
Wearing a daisy chain
The blood choking
In the scream
Of an unknown name
Written before time
Make it a story
Of relationships
Sacrifice and
Hardship
The brutality
Of humanity
The futility of belief
The carnage of war
The beauty of love
A drop of blood
On a single white glove
Lying alone
On the floor
Move me
Tell me a story
Like never before.
