Improvements*~by Constancio Sulapas Asumen Jr

CDXLIX ~> Improvements*

CDXLIX ~> Improvements*
(Opus449 ~> Improvements)
Born into a world you can’t claim to own,
You do due diligence to make your mark.
Probing to uncover the known unknown,
Whether by finding treasure in the park
While binding pleasure necking in the dark:
Preen memories that pump your leverage
With pomp and glamour on your heritage!
Improvements seldom come by accident.
Sometimes, perchance by default begotten;
The fleeting sins you hasten feign invent;
Sooner than later they are forgotten
Then they get consigned as misbegotten:
Happiness begot of resignation
Holds no candle to imagination!
Improvements born of shifting paradigm
Often emerge the most consequential.
Melding their own reason, rhythm, and rhyme,
With subtlety they grow deferential
While remaining highly preferential:
The world has much improved since you were born,
Braving the World War Two Armageddon!
