THE HOMELESS~by Nalini Starr

THE HOMELESS

Image may contain: one or more people and people sitting

They sit outside day and night
In every kind of weather
No one heeds their plight
And no one cares to bother

They have no place to rest their head
When comes the night
A cardboard box is their bed
Where they’ll sleep until daylight

They are the forgotten and the homeless
The street is now their home
Their lives are in a mess
They feel sad and lost and alone

They have many stories to tell
Of how their lives used to be before
But now they are living in hell
The good life is no more

They are folks who lost their way
Who need love, kindness and a helping hand
We may be in that situation one day
So let’s show love to all mankind

Let’s open our hearts not only at Christmas time
But every day and all year through
Let’s take care of our fellow man
We all know what we should do..
