POEM ” KEY TO MY HEART” by martin gedge

Another night I walk the beat
down summer rain and sadly street
for shadows know they cannot sleep
shooting arrows in the dark
I stand to shade your heavens glow
like broken angels in the snow
piece by piece and off they go
to catch a lighted spark
and body close to touch your skin
the warmth in which I breathe you in
to places you have never been
like stars across the skies
a vision close so very near
for every touch and drowning tear
a ocean view that’s crystal clear
I opens up your eyes
and lounge in longing of your kiss
in hopes that you might promise this
for every moment that we miss
you swear your love to me
for I am just a burning flame
who needs to feel alive again
to put the pieces back in frame
just turn the twisted key…
