The Shortest Day, The Longest night~by Patrick Kevin O’Shea

To-day is the shortest day of the year. From now on, the the days will gradually start to get longer. A very happy winter Solstice to all …… 😎

The Shortest Day, The Longest night

The shortest day, followed by long dark night. Sun hovering low, within solstice light.

As she tilt’s her pole, our mother Earth. In complete control, from width to girth .

A winters solstice, this majestic sight. The birth of nature’s longest night.

Long dark shadows, within daytime light. Sun hiding behind rooftops, peeping bright .

Slowly she shifts, her tilted pole from cold. Gently drifting closer, to sunshine rays of gold.

Oh! Mother nature, your beauty is might. The shortest day, the longest night .
