” FEED THE MEAN MACHINE ” ~by ‎Martin Gedge‎

POEM ” FEED THE MEAN MACHINE ” by martin gedge

You hide behind the wailing wall
and underlying truth
you bleed into a reckless life
the victim of your youth
care to watch the mindless view
through corridors you spy
while storms around you gather here
to welcome in the eye
you temper all the hurt inside
and lash out with the hate
you have no time or warning sign
to satisfy your fate
the burning fire behind your heart
will rage upon the scene
your boat to fill will timely kill
to feed the mean machine
so rest upon a corpses shell
as death comes calling round
a field to lay your trophy case
is stretched across the ground
and there you see in chamber home
a present darken gloom
that’s left you in this cube alone
until they clean your room…
