REASON 10 – LAND OF NO BUTTERFLIES~by Renáta Császár

REASON 10 – LAND OF NO BUTTERFLIES

Image may contain: 1 person

But the heart of the butterfly
doesn’t stop beating –
…wherever I look
drums are pounding,
lotuses standing firm above the water
and a road
that divides the desert…

As I am stepping on it
it leads me into greener lands
but winter times,
where birds rarely howl,
dogs seldom bark.

Still, I feel you holding my hand
and with lots of machines and buldozers
you can break through
that cruel land,
where the yellow plains are unbreakable
where snakes hide in the sand
and only brave ones can walk through.
