MAD MOMENTS~by Saroj K Padhi

MAD MOMENTS

Image may contain: people sitting, tree, outdoor and nature

Why do I run from my room to balcony
to see that chiming tree
under which for hours I listened to you
in a long talking spree ?

About every little word your friends said ,
about each rumour that the public made—
keeping me captive to your words’ essence
a brook bursting with profound eloquence —

about your new bracelets, bangles and blushes ,
reasons of uneasy hushes, lost tiffin boxes,
your unmindful looks, wilted books left then ;
when petals of your hands pressed my fingers
to reset my beats and relieve my heart’s pain ,
for that perhaps I wait for your words again.

Your words resound in the wind across the tree
in the spaces of my soul where I’m a bird free,
composing poems in memory of such moments
that couldn’t blend you with my uneven elements .
