Chasing You with Love Words~by Annie Johnson

Chasing You with Love Words

Night! I prepare for sleep
But first I must chase your attributes
Across the pages of my mind
With words of love and praise.
Praise for your manly ways –
Your stature and direct manner.
Words like dreams and heartbeat;
Desire; soul; body; mind;
The sweetness of your smile;
The look of love in your eyes;
The touch of your hand on mine;
The taste of your lips and other things.
Back to praise again and thoughtfulness;
Condensed cheerfulness; Blatant
Consideration; effervescent waywardness,
Downright drastic naughty intentions.
I wish I was a choir when I sing your praises.
One sultry, sexy voice directed at you by me,
Seems singularly inadequate to do you justice.
I wish you weren’t so perfect, my lover,
I’ve run out of adjectives and feel derelict
In describing how utterly fantastic you are.
