Sanctuary~by Darcy M. Royce

Sanctuary

Image may contain: one or more people

You’re one to amass long odysseys,
into the scope of haunted, cloudy, seas
until,
strange wanderings on dour shores,
at sunrise moreish, then hasty encores,
storm-tossed your flames,
to please.

Ache waves tower above my lips,
on yet brittle and bare feet,
l now stand,
till your sunken heart calls out for choice,
true sanctuary ln the poise,
and you find me – oh so florulent,
ln moments born to fleet.

And you wonder..still, you wonder
why,
when currents pull you to beleave,
and the eyes lose the crystal clear azure,
trapped between Anshar – Ashur
you still guard the fire – entrusted,
amidst the tidal pleasure,
and recurring grief.
