WOMAN AND THE EARTH~by Saroj K Padhi

WOMAN AND THE EARTH

Image may contain: 1 person

Flowers flaunt your pretty face
in hues of sunshine as they sway and swing,
thorns, your resolve to achieve
in face of challenges to your gracious being;
boughs tossed by wind are the heaving bosoms
and grass, the softness of your skin;
the earth is your womb
where seeds sprout, into future plants to bloom;
the breeze is your breath
that keeps alive the flowing blood stream
and you are more than half
the substance of all our sweet dream;
light of love from your eyes dispels life’s gloom
as we live on in your heart’s wall-less room;
your red lips turn our blood redder
your silhouettes make us sadder
and whenever you are made to bleed
wounded, the sun and moon clot to look paler;
in you God has preserved the glory of earth
in you we experience all our death and birth.
