My Eighth Wonder~by Benedixio Moore Khoti

My Eighth Wonder

Image may contain: 1 person, standing

My Nubian princess reeks
Of lovely odoriferous scents
Of incense and frankincense.
She’s a pure firmament
Illuminating sheer fluorescence,
A rare element
Of a prodigy ointment
Fresh off a priceless alabaster box —
She’s bold-black in complexion
And proudly boasts showcasing rich shimmers
Of beautiful melanin
Telegraphed on her soft unctuous skin.

She’s a character wild as a cat
Carries a heart
So tender and mild
Like the arrival of dusk.

She makes the universe blush
As the moon, stars and sun murmur
In absolute surprise
Gobsmacked by her beauty being a brush
That paints my lips in a beam of a smile
And enchants my stern heart to whisper a wow.

She possesses a curvaceous calabash,
An ample bosom that gracefully swings
With fair flair of generosity
From left to right like a restless flight
Of a pendulum —

She’s bold black
My Eighth wonder
Clad in stupendous splendour.
