THE JOURNEY FOR MY LOVER’S CURE~by Young Francis

THE JOURNEY FOR MY LOVER’S CURE

Image may contain: 1 person, horse and outdoor

[a ballad poem with love]

My love was weary, sick in health
Which made me wandered forth in May
I groomed my horse and loaded shelves
And left by dawn to find a way

My horse is loaded, bag and hat
And rode so fast in speed and force
In several miles to Steven Heart
My wife is sick and looking poor

The road is thick yet hard we went
For several miles to Steven Heart
Who study to know the sick he burns
Likewise my love so sick and sad

My love is weary sick in health
Which sets me forth to buy a cure
And rode so fast no man can tell
To Steven Heart of kind reward

The day is broken from the clouds
So thick and darkened high in rain
My horse has quivered in a mud
To stop in distress till it drains

The rain did stop by noon at twelve
This quest has driven much a pay
I groomed my horse and loaded shelves
And wandered on the day

My horse is weary,quivering cold
I can’t ride fast to Steven Heart
My love is lonely at our home
This troubled time has tamed my luck

In much distress, so slow we went
For long, one mile my horse has made
My distress mind is short at length
To see some means so worth the pay

Like broken cords for greater strength
I finally came to Steven Heart
But the day is dark and needs return
To my dying love and feeble heart

My horse is weary yet we went
Through darkened nights till we are home
I healed my love in greater earns
And groomed my horse and slept a soul.
