Touch Me~by Darcy M. Royce

Touch Me

Image may contain: one or more people and indoor

How would you touch me,
if we met moments apart,
from that which rolled stones
– heavy on my heart.
Set ln early dusk,
my soul thrown out of the nest,
wandering vagrant – all Seven Seas
say ..
how would you touch me,
if only mourning was loud – ln my chest.

And how would you touch me,
if further down the line – l awaken
to slumber and devastation
bordering divine.
A rosy-cheeked girl
ln the rouse of her will,
tender and ailing,
nearly lost – to dreadnoughts on her track,
say..
would you touch her, still?

And what if you knew
about the “where” and the “how” –
that your “enough” is never too much
to release your heat into my bloodstream
and let it spread -as such
that l overflow with joy,
my ship anchors to yours without a chain,
just say the words..
would you? could you?
touch me, that way, again.
