Daily missive for Wednesday the 3rd of April~by Peter Forster

Daily missive for Wednesday the 3rd of April

It is in a wild rush
Through the trees
Pulling, bending, snapping
Finding the strength
From within its own resources
To continue
Building again
Battering the barn
Frightening the horses
Banging, tearing shearing
The tin roof away
Exposing them all
To the elements
Wild eyed frightened
Animals
Caught in a flash
Of lightning strike
As the storm breaks
The farmer does all he can
But still it takes
What it needs to survive
It seems to thrive
Skittering over the fields
Flattening the rapeseed
Moving at its own speed
Scattering the cattle feed
Creating chaos
Out of nothing
But a butterfly
In theory
Drumming up a storm
For no good reason
Other than the chance
Of one discrete event
Without consent
Leading to another
