” BEDSIDE MANOR” ~by Martin Gedge

POEM ” BEDSIDE MANOR” by martin gedge

Image may contain: plant, flower, tree, sky, outdoor and nature

A room with a view in a sky so blue

as you feel the chill in the breeze

the flowers is sway to the gentles of day

to the sound of whistling trees

and the distance of sun hearing voices of fun

only echo in the garden of tears

as the close of my eyes and the sorrow goodbyes

is like music to the drums of my ears

a Sunday in suit from the shines of each boot

in the words of the gospel in taste

all the mourning subdued to the eyes that were glued

to the smile that was wearing my face

for down deep in the earth for the life and its worth

have no pity for the comforts of thee

I will rise from the ground to the souls of this town

and the heavens will welcome in me…
