” RED TIDE ” ~by ‎Martin Gedge‎

POEM ” RED TIDE ” by martin gedge

Image may contain: 1 person, swimming

A sunken ship a radar blip

death walks among the waves

and through this frame tied link and chain

it’s body stained with graves

each hollow core to rock the shore

and turn the sea to red

to kill at wish the schools of fish

that lie the serpents bed

the devil preys these water ways

each sail to wreck and drown

for all is lost when tides will toss

and drive you fathoms down

a pirates curse to find it’s purse

are leagues away from gold

your S.O.S. is now possessed

a breath you cannot hold

for years of tears and sailors gone

as anchors drop to sand

to sink the drink into this rink

and never walk the land

this solenoid to purge the void

it’s path of raging flood

to drain it’s bones in catacombs

and spew the names in blood…
